Two fierce enemies in Ojibway mythology, the Thunderbird and Underwater Panther (a water monster), engage in battle. When we decided to do this shoot, everything started going wrong. It had just hailed and was very cold, and as we started shooting, it began raining, but we decided to stick with it, and the skies cleared. I realized afterwards that the weather events could not have been more appropriate. This was a very special shoot to me, and I am grateful to my brothers for braving the elements.
