For a class assignment, we were to develop a fashion figure for our designs. I decided I wanted my model’s body to be Indigenous, strong, large and butch, especially because these physical traits are not often represented in fashion. I wanted my model to have a thick middle and broad back, like many Ojibwe people do. In truth, I based the figure on my own body, with some modifications. This is the figure I produced for the assignment- some lines would need to be added in the side and back view for complete figures.
